MORE ABOUT ME
From early childhood, I was always looking for ways to express my emotions, feelings and passions. What started as a designing quest, later turned into a lifetime obsession. I take the most ordinary of objects or styles and redesign them aiming at high functionality, underpinned by beauty.
During my teens, I was inspired by the creations of famous fashion and interior designers, hairstylists and jewellers, and set about trying to capture the raw essence and sheer beauty of their creations, and incorporate it into my own work. As I matured, I began to find inspiration everywhere I looked, in both the natural and the man made world about me.
I am always on the lookout for old and new styles, themes and trends, often finding them unexpectedly when I travel to new places, when walking in the countryside or even just visiting charity shops. I have worked in many places around Europe but focused a lot of my time in Hungary. However, after a four month spell in Australia, I was finally led to move to the United Kingdom.
I have gained a wealth of experiences and impressions from the many different countries and cultures that I have visited as well as from my work in hairdressing, interior design, jewellery making and painting around the world. I am particularly enamoured with the Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Empire periods and styles. Within my jewellery design, I prefer clear and minimal styling. As an interior designer I favour geometric shapes with a combination of organic elements and this style is reflected in my paintings as well. As a hairdresser, I believe everybody can be ageless if their hairstyle is spot on, and the same rule applies to interior design, jewellery making and artwork that stands the test of time.
Whilst creative vision is important, I understand the importance of consulting with and looking after the client, whatever medium I am working in. I truly believe that professional consultation with my clientele is the key to establishing trust and obtaining a great result, whether it’s a commission for a piece of art or a design for a piece of jewellery. I focus totally on each customer’s personality and aim at building and enhancing their self-confidence when creating their hairstyle or designing their home.
During my time in Hungary, I had a number of publications in interior design magazines and worked regularly on a talk show. Whilst in Australia, I took part in a local hairdressing competition. Recently, I attended my first New Artist Exhibition in London and entered the TALP Open Exhibition where I was Awarded the “People’s Choice Award" at Patching’s Art Centre in Nottingham.
Throughout my life and varied career I have tried to live by my favourite quote:
“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort.”
Jesse Owens | 1913-1980, Olympic Gold Medalist.
This quote inspires me every day and commits me to provide exquisite beaded jewellery, stunning and unique interior designs, paintings and exceptional hairdressing skills.
