During lockdown, Grayson Perry artists and his wife Philippa hosted the show from their studio on Channel 4 TV.
Each week a different theme – portraits, animals, fantasy, view from my window, home, Britain – was explored.
This show inspired me to paint "Britain".

This is my first painting during the pandemic, when the people had no idea what was going on worldwide ...
Every media all around the world was spreading different, sometimes unreliable news which generated more panic in the population of the world.
I think just like everyone I wanted to see the lights at the end of the tunnel.

Chess
This is my second painting during the pandemic.This is the 1st part of the Trilogy.
I was playing with colours, perspective cubes and trying to give a depth into it. I am always attracted to perspective drawings because the architect is very close to me.
That was the first time when I tried to paint landscapes and combined them with perspective elements.

Rise
This is my third painting during the pandemic. This is the 2nd part of the Trilogy.
Chronological order: I made the 1st (“Chess) and 3rd (“Icaros”)
This one has been created as a last part and I tried to find a connection between the 1st and 3rd parts of the trilogy.
I think that was the biggest challenge using the same template, colours, perspectives to give continuity. I really enjoyed the journey and I really hope the audience will enjoy it as well.

Icaros
This is my 4th painting during the pandemic. This is the 3rd part of the Trilogy.
I was looking for my style the way how can I express my feelings in those hectic periods in worldwide
I was always attracted to ancient history, Greek mythology and when I was painting, I realized the hedges looked more like a Labyrinth and the one name came into my head ICAROS.

Evolution
The draft was made in 2021, during the second lockdown but just a year later I did a sketch on the canvas and another year later I finished it in 2023.
I always admired Ancient History , Mythology , Architecture and not at least the Egyptian culture and mainly the Mystery of Pyramids.
Fortunately I had a chance to visit Egypt and can see them in person. That experience motivated me to make this painting in my perspective.
